Welcome to the Hydrology Laboratory – LabHidro!

The Hydrology Laboratory is intended to support hydrological studies, monitoring hydrological variables (rain, runoff, interception, infiltration and evapotranspiration) and sedimentological variables (water erosion and sediment transport) and environmental modeling of hydrogeomorphological processes.

The main objective is to understand the interactions between hydrological, geomorphological and biological processes in watersheds.

Area of expertise: Environmental Analysis and Management, ‘Natural’ Disasters, Surface Hydrology, Hydrosedimentology and Hydrogeomorphology.

The academic partnership between the Universidade Estadual do Centro-Oeste (UNICENTRO) and the Università degli Studi di Torino strengthens internationalization efforts. The partnership expands opportunities for research, academic mobility, and scientific exchange between Brazil and Italy.

The LabHidro congratulates our colleague Ezequias Rodrigues dos Santos on the defense of his doctoral dissertation entitled “Influence of epiphytes on stemflow and nutrient cycling in mixed ombrophilous forest in Southern Brazil”

We congratulate Dr. Alessandro Kominecki on his nomination for the ANPEGE Best Thesis Award in Physical Geography for his work “Bed Sediments and Morphology of Rocky River Confluences with Different Junction Angles.”
