This Research Line develops teaching and research activities related to forest dynamics and management of natural ecosystems, with an emphasis on phytosociology, dynamics, growth models development, recruitment and survival, regeneration, mapping and monitoring, forest protection, forest genetics and improvement, urban forestry, biomass energy, and forest product technology.
Management of Planted Forests:
This Research Line develops teaching and research activities related to the management and technology of planted forest, focusing on soils and plant nutrition, forest genetics and improvement, silviculture, biometrics, growth and production modeling, planning, harvesting and logistics, forest protection, biomass and carbon, ergonomics, biomass energy, and forest product technology.
