Estudou em Frankfurt e em Munique. Em 1933 com a tomada dos nazistas, Hans perdeu seu posto em Tubingen e emigrou para os EUA onde se tornou professor na Universidade de Cornell em Ithaca, Nova York, onde permaneceu pelo restante da carreira.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times,serif;font-size: 12pt\">Durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial ajudou no desenvolvimento da bomba at\u00f4mica e no trabalho introdut\u00f3rio sobre a bomba de hidrog\u00eanio.
